A transport network, or transportation network, is a network of roads, streets, railways (or railroads), pipes, aqueducts, power lines, or nearly any structure which permits either vehicular movement or flow of some commodity.
Transport network
analysis is used to determine the flow of vehicles (or people) through a
transport network, typically using mathematical graph theory. It may combine
different modes of transport, for example, walking and car, to model
multi-modal journeys. Transport network analysis is within the field of transport
engineering.
Transport system helps to raise the production of raw
materials, fuels and machineries by providing market to it. Transport system
expand the size of the market. Due to selling of commodities in an extensive
manner in large areas, it leads to large-scale production.
As a result industry of firm gets the advantages of
large-scale. Transport system helps to solve the problem of unemployment in
rural areas by sending surplus laborers to the industries and it also solves
the needs of industries.Development of transport system also leads to development of industries because transport system utilizes the product of industries production.
