Role Of Transport

Now, ask this to yourself, have you ever wondered how goods or items are being transport not only to nearby place but also to a place far away from our home. That’s was the primary role of transport, to deliver the goods. What else?

Every business firm, regardless of whether it produces or distributes, requires movement of goods from one place to another and it is involved in the transport. Transportation is a key process in the logistics chain, which is involved in every stage, starting in manufacturing, to final delivery at the required location.

The purpose or function is to serve as a transport connecting link between the organization, firm or producer to consumer (such as between plants and warehouses) and between units of the firm and the firm and individual units (such as suppliers and other customers). Good transportation is that the minimum time and cost involved in spatial relations firm. The transportation system is a physical link connecting companies with customers.

Transportation can be a key competitive strategy for the firm because consumers will choose to transport quickly and save time. Transportation is also a bridge that related between buyers and sellers. Transportation is also a determinant of competitiveness and for the company and the demand for a product in a particular area.

Without transportation is impossible for companies to do business in the global economy nowadays because there is a lot of competition and many companies are separated by geography from the source to the consumer. The production is not necessarily the place where the product is manufactured. Transportation is also a bridge between buyers and sellers separated by thousands of miles.

Now you understand the role of transport right? Then if you understand lets implied it to your mind.
